Creeping.......?

We use social media and social networking on a daily basis. Facebook keeps us connected with old friends and classmates, and allows us to learn more about each other without having to ask too many questions. Think about it, all the information we REALLY need to know about someone is readily available whenever we choose to "friend" said person. Is this good, or is this bad? Is this a beneficial aspect of the ever-changing face of social media and social networking (think about how many times Facebook has changed it's layout), or is it detrimental to the interaction we really need to experience in order to keep ourselves as a society, well, sane?
